This is my “kampong-style” scrumptious breakfast. Ben said this is one delicious breakfast we must have at least once in a year. It’s tasty, appetizing, especially when dipped into a bowl of mixture of Thai Chillie & tomato sauce.
I got this recipe from my mum’s kitchen. If you are interested, please do try them:-
Ingredients:
2 cups Wheat Flour
1 egg
½ bowl of dried prawns ( har mai)- finely chopped
1 onions (cut into cubes)
6 shallots (slice thinly)
1 teaspoon of salt (dissolve into a bowl of water)
Oil for deep frying
Method:
In a big mixing bowl, pour in flour. Make a hole in the centre, put in egg. Stir in water little by little till well mixed (do not pour in all the water as you have to decide how thick the batter you prefer).
Let the batter stand for 10 minutes. Add in onions, shallots and dried prawns. Mix well.
Deep fried till brown or cooked.
