Breeks Cafe

Last Friday,we went to Puchong IOI with only one thing in our mind……. Dinner! We were hungry and don’t know where and what to eat. We spotted Breeks Cafe and Seoul Garden. We couldn’t decide which one to go. As a result, we do the simplest thing….. One, Two, Zom! Guess what. Tim won the game and he chose Seoul Garden. Sadly, it was fully booked so ... No choice lor. Breeks Cafe!!!

It was indeed a very nice experience. The food was nice and the portion were huge. Tim had BBQ half-chicken , It tasted great and he was filled to the brim!. Ben just had his braces done up recently so Beef Lasagne was the softest choice of food. Ck and I had the same “Cajun chicken chop”. Dee..lee.. cious!

After the heavy dinner, we adjourned to Popular Bookstore. We bought some books and a music CD “Soul Jazz”. We then stop by at San Francisco Coffee for a “Buy I free I coffee”. Just couldn’t resist the smell of coffee beans and of cause the price!

We came home, turn off all florescent light and turn on the warm light in the hall listening to the new CD. Laying on the couch and had a cup of Chinese tea. Yeah! Nice family chill out on another Friday night!

Rest.

About the middle of last month, I was feeling really blue. I have never experienced such tiredness in my life. I was totally burnt out; physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. All I wanted was to get away from all my commitments. I wanted to get away from ministry, friends, and even home!

I told CK that I needed a break from home and that I wanted to go somewhere alone. He was rather supportive but worried and suggested that I go away with a friend or two. However, he agreed that I should take a break from all my activities and just relax.

I thank God for my two girlfriends (TT & T). They were very willing to accompany me to a getaway adventure at Genting Highlands. We chose this place simply because the weather up there was cool and nice. I went without any intention to go Casino or Prayer Mountain. All I wanted was to “chill out and do nothing.”

Off we went to Genting on Saturday morning. We spent the whole Saturday afternoon shopping at First World indoor shopping mall. I bought my favorite CarloRino handbag. TT & T also got their stuff. We had a wonderful buffet lunch and dinner and ended that night with a cup of drink at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

We stayed a night at the Theme Park Hotel. The room was comfortable. The three of us laughed, ate, and chatted until midnight had passed. Then, we slept!

The next day, deep inside us we knew that we needed to honor the Lord on the Sabbath. So, we decided to spend some time worshipping before we went for breakfast. Lo and behold, the Lord was so good to us. He chose to visit us even when I chose to get away from Him. I thought I could hide from God, but I was wrong. He is always there even when I feel lost and weak. He is there to keep and protect me.

The Lord appeared to us in such an awesome manner. We ended up sobbing and praying the whole of Sunday morning. Though I have my plan, God is there to help me plan better. We don’t need a special appointment to meet God. All we need is just to call upon Him. He is always there to meet with us, simply because He loves us. This is so true even in my case.

I came home that afternoon feeling tired physically but, emotionally and spiritually I know I’m different. I have seen Him and know Him better. I am glad I have found Jesus anew and afresh today.

Thank you Lord!
