18th Wedding Anniversary. This year my flowers came in pots. Hopefully it will last longer than those bouquet which last only a few days. I'm into flowering plants for this season, my friend told me to paint my fingers "green" , so that my potted plants can last longer :)

We are so blessed for another year of God's added grace upon our lives. Each time we celebrate our anniversary, we realised how much God's love has poured into our union. We are so thankful to God our Saviour Jesus Christ!

Psalm 127

Unless the Lord builds the house,
its builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchmen stand guard in vain.

In vain you rise early and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat -
for He grant sleep to those he loves.

Sons are a heritage from the Lord,
children a reward from him.

Like arrows in the hands of a warrior
are sons born in one's youth

Blessed is the man
whose quiver is full of them.
They will not be put to shame
when they contend with their enemies in the gate.

Love you darling. love you Ben & Tim.

Christmas Dinner

Dinner gathering at mum-in law's house

Mum-in law's 1 foot tall cute C'mas tree

Fresh crab meat with lots of roe

Melting in a kuali

Yummy... it's done

Family favourite! It's finger licking good!

A cup of chinese tea not wine.

This year, we've decided to have a different menu totally for Christmas. We had "Bak Kut Teh" for Christmas Eve dinner ( in a restaurant) and Stir-fry crab for Christmas Dinner instead of the normal Roast Turkey. It was indeed a wonderful and peaceful moment spent with family.

Blessed Christmas to all and May God bless you.

Birthday!!!

A Slice of coffee sponge cake with lemon cream cheese topping and almond nuts.

My birthday cake! Age : secret!

Yesterday was my birthday! I baked this coffee sponge with lemon zest cream cheese topping. The taste was good except I need to improve on the cake texture. It was rather "springy". I thought it would be better if it had more "body".....

My preference are butter cakes. I have very positive feedbacks about my butter cakes. However when I use either whipped cream or cream cheese topping, I will need to chill the cake as the topping taste better chilled. Unfortunately the texture of chilled butter cakes are more "compact" and "heavy".

So I decided to try baking sponge cake instead.... and so begins my journey of a thousand miles in sponge cake baking !

Sweet 17th

Yesterday, CK and I celebrated our 17th Wedding Anniversary. We were at a Buffet Lunch in Sun & Surf Café, Sunway Resort.

17 years of joy and happiness, pain and long suffering, we’ve been through all. God’s grace has seen us through all these years.

I thank God for my husband. He is a very supportive and loving husband. He is also a strict and fun- loving father to our children.

Our two boys are our greatest joy and pride on earth! We hope to be able to celebrate many more anniversaries in the future together with our daughters-in-law and many grandchildren…….not too young to dream yah!

Too busy eating, only manage to capture the first dish.
